Probably some of you already know that some time ago I decided to leave my job. I did it, because the job did not give me satisfaction anymore. I did not feel well there. I wanted to do something different in my life, what is obvious when you have studied a lot and you are ambitious person. You just do not want to work in a place when you cannot be yourself. Besides, since the beginning I have treated this job only as a temporary, as a palliative job – and it was more than 3 years. Too long and too much! So, I made the decision and quitted.
Firstly, I decided to rest a bit. I was extremely tired. They were very difficult more than 3 years. Fact, that I have not need to wake up very, very early – was extremely luxury for myself. However, do not go too far. I did not wake up at 12 o clock or something. I usually was awaken at 9 am. Shower, breakfast, checking email – typical morning tasks. A few days later I prepared the list of tasks to do. I had plan for every single weekday. Most of the tasks were focused on my professional development, such as learning English and gaining administration knowledge. I started variety of courses not only online but also I went to school, I had lectures or seminaries, etc. In a meantime I even was a baby sitter for 12 years old boy 😉 Not for money, but for the imperative and for the pleasure 😀 I had much fun and joy, but also I realised having a “baby” is not so easy how I had thought before.
Finally, the time was ripe to find a job. I sent a huge amount of my resumes and applications. Unfortunately, finding a job in London is challenging and the competition is strong. London attracts many people with very good skills and experience. So it is not easy, especially, when you are foreigner and do not have office experience in Great Britain. So, I decided to change my strategy and tried to find a job using Polish job portals.
I was invited for some interviews. I even started to work… already a few times 😉 but, my rating of Polish companies and Polish people in here, I mean London, is worse and worse day after day. I am going to write for you short stories about it (the list of posts listed below – ‘London’s Adventure – how to find a job’). Sometimes they will be funny, believe me, but sometimes, they are horrific. Still, I cannot believe, how people may behave this way. Anyway, my first little story soon.
However, the New Year 2016 started, so following the sentence New Year = New Hope, I strongly believe, I will find my dream job quickly…
